Funny Car Stars Take Over Speed Scene Live Tonight. Check It Out LIVE!

Donnie Couch, proprietor of the West Coast Funny Car Factory, will take over Speed Scene Live on Tuesday evening September 4, while “Lucky” Hudson and Diana-Mite are off with their racer cars on the east coast.

Couch has dubbed his time behind the microphone as “Funny Car Tuesday” while he brings in Drag Racing Online West Coast Editor Darr Hawthorne to help wrangle some of the featured racers who’ll compete at the September 8th Saturday Night Nitro event at Auto Club Famoso Raceway and later in the season at the California Hot Rod Reunion.

Scheduled phone-in guest’s are July’s Saturday Night Nitro winner James Day, driver of Gary Turner’s “Pedaler” Plymouth Arrow, John Hale owner/driver of the “Mike Burkhart” tribute Camaro, Jeff Arend, newly appointed driver of Dale Pulde’s “War Eagle” Firebird and Ron Capps who has been driving Del Worsham’s “DrinkHard” Plymouth Arrow, among others.  Famoso Track Manager Blake Bowser will also phone in with an overview of the upcoming race  and Videographer Les Mayhew will drop by with some new Nitro America video clips.  There’ll be ticket giveaways and a bunch of free Legends of Nitro shirts to hand out!

Off camera, there’s a full-charge Medic stationed to keep an eye on Speed Scene regular Bruce Barker who, fortunately will still hold onto the broadcast controls!  Couch has already threatened to fire up the gas-powered Velvet Margarita machine before the hour of nitro funny cars is over.

Tune into Speed Scene Live, the fastest TV Show in the web at 6:00 PM (PDT) Tuesday September 4, listen and watch at SPEEDSCENELIVE.COM
