Don “The Snake” Prudhomme vs. Tom “The Mongoose” McEwen. It’s Match Race Madness

Don “The Snake” Prudhomme and Tom “The Mongoose” McEwen have one of the fiercest and well publicized rivalries in racing history. And while Richard Petty, Darrell Waltrip, and Cale Yarborough were fighting it out door handle to door handle on the big ovals of the Nascar Cup Series, Snake and Mongoose were battling it out both on and off the 1320. The Petersen Automotive Museum is bringing the Match Race Madness back and is pitting Snake and Mongoose against eachother at the famed Wilshire Blvd. location.

If you want to see the smack talk in person, and hear stories from back in the day, visit the Petersen Museum on Wednesday November 10, 2010 at 2pm. Both Tom “The Mongoose” McEwen and Don “The Snake” Prudhomme will be there live for a panel discussion that allows you to be a part of the action.

The panel discussion, and “An Evening with Don “The Snake” Prudhomme” are both kicking off the new “NHRA: 60 Years of Thunder” exhibit that opens after the gala and will run through May of 2011. If you are a fan of Gassers, Funny Cars, Dragsters and Altereds, you are going to want to check out this event. For those of you who have never visited the Petersen Automotive Museum, now is the time!

For all the info on Match Race Madness, an evening with Don Prudhomme, and the 60 Years of Thunder exhibit, visit the Petersen Automotive Museum website here.
