Anyone who doesn’t get excited about a Holley Dominator topped powerplant should consider themselves officially removed from the hot rodding brotherhood. As the biggest and baddest carb on the planet, we didn’t think it could be beat…until now. Following in the footsteps of Holleys ultra bitchin new all aluminum Ultra HP 4150 series, the new 4500 series Dominator Ultra HP kicks ass. Sure it has more tuning and power features, but it’s the all black killer stealth look and lightweight aluminum construction that makes us drool. We’ll be using one soon on some big block testing at Westech performance since they are coming off the assembly line as we speak.
Another cool addition to Holley’s already huge lineup is the new Cathedral Port LS Hi Ram intake manifold that was debuted Monday at SEMA. Holley’s rectangle port Hi Ram has been the talk of the industry since its introduction last year at SEMA, but Cathedral Port LS engine builders have been screaming for one of their own. Just like the originals, the CP Hi Ram uses a variety of “tops” including single and dual four barrel, EFI “Snuffleupagus”, and blank tops for custom applications. The EFI top just screams for boost, and we can’t wait to test one out. Stay tuned for more information on them including video from SEMA.
We’ve got sneak peak photos of the entire Ultra HP Aluminum line, as well as the Cathedral Port Hi Ram, below.

These have got to be the most in demand intakes for 2012. And this company was almost dead a few years ago? NOT !
Maybe some day we will see the square port intakes that they unveiled last year. I’m not going to hold my breath that these are real until I can buy one.
Oh, nevermind…I gave up waiting on the square port and hadn’t checked lately. I see they are available and not outrageously priced. Hmmm…sell my cathedral port heads and buy some square ports…or wait for the cathedral port manifold to come out…
