Precision Turbo Rolls Out New True Street Class Legal Turbo – This Is How You Run At The Front

Precision Turbo and Engine has just announced a new class legal GEN2 PT6785 CEA turbo for the True Street class in NMCA/NMRA competition. Due to class rules, the compressor wheel is limited to 67mm so that means since bigger wasn’t an option to make more power, better had to be. True street is one of the classes that have helped change how lots of people think about a street car. Back in the day if you had a 10-second car in the class you were someone. Now? Now there are guys racking up back to back to back passes in the 7s with some regularity. Lots of the reason why is the boost generated by an ever more efficient generation of turbos.

These things can support up to 1,100hp on their own and we can only imagine how many we’ll see at the strip this year when attending NMCA and NMRA races. This is further proof that no matter the size of the box you put racers in, they will find a way to go faster no matter what!

New Class Legal GEN2 PT6785 CEA® Turbocharger for True Street

Precision Turbo and Engine has released the next generation of class legal turbochargers for True Street. PTE’s new GEN2 PT6785 CEA® features advanced aerodynamics and will be a top performer on many cars this season.

Featuring an exclusive 67mm inducer GEN2 CEA® (Competition Engineered Aerodynamics) compressor wheel machined from a 2618-aluminum forging and an 85mm CEA® turbine wheel, Precision’s GEN2 PT6785 CEA® turbocharger is rated to support up to 1,100 horsepower.

PTE’s technologically advanced CEA® wheels are known for their unparalleled performance, greater efficiency at higher pressure ratios, less turbo lag, ability to handle higher boost, and offer massive power gains over older wheel designs of similar sizes

Priced at just $3,999.99 USD, Precision’s GEN2 PT6785 CEA® turbo is also equipped with an air-cooled, dual ceramic ball-bearing center housing rotating assembly (CHRA) for faster transient response and added thrust capacity.

Additionally, Precision’s GEN2 PT6785 CEA® turbocharger comes standard with a divided T4-flange turbine housing with 4 5/8″ V-band distance for easy installation. Users can select from either a 1.12 A/R T4 housing (turbo part number 21509219329) or a 1.28 A/R T4 housing (turbo part number 21509219339) to fine tune their vehicle’s performance.

Approved for use in True Street classes which limit compressor wheel size to a maximum of 67mm, Precision’s new turbocharger is poised to out-perform similarly sized turbos from other manufacturers. Precision Turbo and Engine has a longstanding history of building turbochargers that win. Success doesn’t come from a standard off-the-shelf turbocharger; it comes from years of dedicated research, development and real-world racing experience.
