Earlier this week you saw our blog item about the cool new Smooth Body shocks from Ridetech that are the talk of the 2012 SEMA Show, and bolt on right in place of your stockers. The cool thing is they weren’t done yet, but we weren’t paying attention until today. Now they have a super bitchin iPhone and Droid App that is actually worth having, and allows all you Air Ride Equipped dudes and dudettes the ability to monitor and control your Ridetech Air Suspension from your iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, or Android. It rules, and we want it for Rusty!
Ridetech also announced a serious performance enhancement here at the 2012 SEMA Show, and in an area you wouldn’t expect. Ridetech has announced that all their Strong Arm suspension components will now include Delrin bushings rather than Poly bushings. It is NOT an upgrade that you’ll have to pay for as it comes with all Strong Arms now! Keep in mind other manufacturers charge $100 or more for the same upgrade.
As you read the information on the differences in Poly vs. Delrin bushings, keep on thing in mind. The ultimate advantage is the fact that with almost zero deflection these bad boys allow the suspension to cycle nearly as freely as it would with a rod end or bearing. That means your shocks, swaybars, and springs are controlling what is going on rather than getting input from a bushing that doesn’t want to rotate when it should. Delrin rules.
