Power Tour Day 4 includes cars, fire, and meat. Well sorta…

Day 4 of Hot Rod Magazine’s Power Tour was event filled for the BangShift and Ridetech crews. We had a new group of cars coming in to finish the tour, 150 Forum Freaks to cook for, and giveaways up the wazoo. And did we mention the thousands of hot rods on site we needed to photograph? Tired doesn’t begin to describe how we felt while packing up at the end of the day. You can imagine our surprise when our plan to drive a couple hours to get a good night’s sleep resulted in us sitting on a closed freeway for hours. It sucked. Out loud.

But other than that, our day was great! Ridetech’s Velocity Camaro made the trip from Jasper, Indiana and is finishing the tour with us, along with their 2010 Mustang. Oh, and Daphne and I conned a guy out of his golf cart so we could shoot car photos faster. That helped a lot. It was hot and humid in Bowling Green, but the airport where the show was held was a great venue. Major kudos to the airport staff for making us feel welcome.

The highlight of the day had to be our First Annual BBQ Bologna Bash, put on by Ridetech and BangShift.com, in honor of all of our BangShift.com Forum Freaks. The turnout was great and we fed over 150 people BBQ bologna, chips, potato salad, and cookies. We ain’t fancy, but everyone loved the food and had a great time. Forum Freaks rule. And they really are freaky.
