We love a good “brought back from the dead” story here, and when the project is a Fox Mustang notchback that has been sitting for twelve years being returned to daily duty with some performance tweaks, usually that’s all that’s needed for us to pay attention. “Beagle”, however, makes the story that much more entertaining by adding to the story with the kind warped-view humor that comes with being the one to do the work. When Step 1b of the project involves getting a shop-vac to vacuum out the rodent population’s graveyard inside the car, you know it’s going to be good.
Okay, maybe not as good as picturing the panic and disbelief when he removed the heads and found a mud dauber’s nest and the majority of what must’ve been the dauber in the cylinder, but that’s the fun of watching this thread. Project Neglect was revived in the early fall of 2012 after being parked following a smash-and-grab and is still an ongoing project, so in addition to Beagle’s humor you get to see other forum members razz him about the delays (“Is it running yet?” seems to be a common theme among the more antagonistic folks) as well as the wisdom of washing parts in the dishwasher (“Bangshift, the source of more marital discord then Nordstroms.”), precautions while working with certain chemicals (“Anybody know a better way to get JB Weld off your fingers than time? I really need to wear gloves. Hopefully I don’t get this junk on any hootus like parts.”) and distractions from work (“GAAP terms, bootlegged music, pirated chinese products…The only thing this thread needs is tractors.”)

All the waffling on motor combinations makes my head hurt.
Mine too! Yeah, sorry about that. Not hard to see why it takes me forever. haha.
You’re on the front page Beagle, don’t let the pressure crush you =D
longest project on BS? No pressure… lol.
You’re most likely in for more work than ya think. But don’t let that get to ya. If you have the bucks get a Coyote for it.
the hardest part for me is making up my mind – the new budget is zero so that makes things a little easier.
