BangShift Project Files: We Check In On The Turbo Lincoln Mark VII Build!

BangShift Project Files: We Check In On The Turbo Lincoln Mark VII Build!

The three of us have our deals. Chad’s got a list of projects that he works on quietly and brings out when he feels like it. I’ve got my home for wayward, dirt-cheap, “might run sometime soon” vehicles, and Brian…well, right now he’s got eBay, Craigslist, and Facebook Marketplace, and everybody and their mother tempting him into buying something to fill the hole that the departed Brutus and Buford T. Justice have left in his soul. We all love cars here, that’s why BangShift exists in the first place. But for everything we do, it’s the readers that are the mainstay of the place. And it’s the stuff you put together that gives us inspiration and leaves us thinking about new projects that we would like to get done.

Jason, known as “Bacon” on the Forums, has one such vehicle, a Lincoln Mark VII LSC that I’ve personally been drooling over for too long now. The Mark VII is a Fox Mustang in a tux in it’s most basic form, which rules, but car that he’s putting together…I always thought a Mark VII had a sinister look to it and he’s really pulled it out into the light for everyone to see. It’s been a while since the last update, but recently he’s stepped back in and has shown off some of the improvements made to the LSC, like the ability to tuck a 10.5 out back, some new fenders that were sourced from a cleaner car, and the first signs of the turbocharger kit coming together. Elegance, class, and a look that promises to knock you down to the ground before beating you senseless? That’s personal luxury, BangShift-style.

Sweet! I\’ve always had a soft spot for the Mark VII. Great combo of luxury and performance potential. Personally, I would try and fly under the radar with some widened stock wheels and serious meats and maybe even an OD trans to make it a real street beast. Great project.
