Iron Trap Model A Shop Truck: Gets Disassembled For Chassis Paint!!

Iron Trap Model A Shop Truck: Gets Disassembled For Chassis Paint!!

The Iron Trap Shop Truck is coming along gang. This episode is all about pulling the truck apart to make the chassis pretty, which means filling holes and paint. Check it out.

The more I watch Iron Trap videos the more I want to build a 1920-1940 hot rod. They seem so simple and bare-bones if you want them to be and that means that you can put one together pretty quickly if you have the right parts and pieces laying around. Since the Iron Trap gang does, this cool shop truck project should be pretty simple and straightforward for them to get up and running. It’s especially nice since it is going to be a shop truck and not something that has to be super clean and finished when done.

That doesn’t mean it won’t be cool though! Check out video one of this project. There is more to come and you’ll dig it.

Video Description:

The time has come for the Roadster Pickup to get fully taken apart for final chassis welding, and paint. Matt and Steve work on blowing the car apart till they are left with the bare frame. Matt works his magic and removes any unwanted brackets, fills unwanted holes, and finish welds anything that was added to the frame. After welding Matt and Steve move onto paint prep and lastly paint. Matt chose to use Eastwood Rust Encapsulator Plus and applied with with rollers and brushes. After drying the RPU chassis gets fully assembled, minus the body, which will stay off from brake lines, and rear radius rod fabrication. This thing is getting closer and closer to taking the first test drive!!
