A-FAB, Owners of AFCO, Dynatech, and US Brakes Now Owns ProShocks Too

A-FAB, the  parent company of AFCO Racing and Dynatech, as well as US Brakes, has just purchased Pro Shocks as well. “Pro Formance” brand shocks have been around for years and, like AFCO, have a good brand name in the racing industry. With AFCO’s dedication to making the best shocks for the Saturday night racer, it’s no surprise to us that they would add another brand like Pro Shocks to the A-FAB family of companies. And with this growth comes even more opportunity, including even more new jobs at AFCO. Look for over 60 new positions to be announced in 2013.

Here is the official announcement from A-FAB.

AFCO RACING ACQUIRES PRO-FORMANCE SHOCKS, INC.
December 21, 2012 – A-FAB, LLC, an Indiana-based specialty manufacturer of automotive
racing and high performance shocks, springs, brakes, cooling, and exhaust products announced today
that it has purchased Pro-Formance Shocks, Inc., the Georgia-based manufacturer and retailer of the
“PRO-Formance” brand of shock absorbers.
Jeff Scales, A-FAB, LLC’s President, added, “It is exciting for us to add “Pro-Formance
Shocks, Inc. to our AFCO Racing and Dynatech Competition Exhaust divisions. Pro Shocks has been
instrumental in outfitting winning race cars for over 30 years. They have a long tradition of delivering
innovative products to the racing market. We look forward to enhancing and expanding the Pro Shocks
brand.”
About AFCO Racing
AFCO Racing is a manufacturer of suspension, engine cooling, and exhaust products for the automotive
racing and high performance markets. AFCO’s combination of technical innovation, price, and quality
has made it the preferred choice for professional racers and car builders since 1983. Originally founded
as a small, family owned business, it now distributes products throughout the United States, Canada,
Mexico, Great Britain, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. In addition to the Pro Shocks
acquisition, AFCO is in the midst of a $3.7 million dollar expansion to its current manufacturing and
warehouse facilities in Boonville, Indiana. The expansion is expected to create over 60 new positions
that will be filled in 2013.
