Ridetech Equipped Ridler Contender Wins For The Third Year In A Row!

Ridetech Equipped Ridler Contender Wins For The Third Year In A Row!

The Ridler award was founded in 1964 to honor the late Don Ridler. The winner is judged based on creativity, engineering, and workmanship, all of which were in great supply on the Ron Cizek owned “Checkered Past” ’40 Ford Coupe. And like the previous two Ridler winners, the team at CAL Automotive Creations chose Ridetech for their suspension needs. Ridetech Coil Overs were the only choice for Andy Leach and crew. I’ve long said that Ridetech’s new Coil Overs look like jewelry, and clearly I’m not alone in thinking that.

Also involved on this cool project was BangShifter extraordinaire Scott “DieselGeek” Clark who was called on to tune this Megasquirt equipped blown flathead Ford.

Congratulations to Ridetech, Scott Clark, and of course Andy Leach and the entire crew at CAL Automotive Creations for a great win. And congratulations to Ron Cizek for taking the time, money, energy, and vision with him to lead such a project. Our sources say that Ron was a very active participant in the build, which is something we really like to hear.
