Bringing Four Generations Of Family Together Over A 1951 Chevrolet – How One Car Connected A Family

Bringing Four Generations Of Family Together Over A 1951 Chevrolet – How One Car Connected A Family

To some people a car is just that, a car. Even gearheads can think this…they build, they break, they enjoy it just the same, but in the end it is still glass, metal and rubber. To others, the car means much more. The time invested into the vehicle means something different. The entire ownership experience…the bad, the good…becomes a focal point that brings people together. Sometimes it is friends, sometime it is family, and sometimes that line becomes blurred. Look at what goes on in forums just like BangShift: many people come together for one purpose and end up making friends.

Kyle at 1320Video recently got a chance to take a look into a story of the Lovings family and their relationship with a 1951 Chevrolet Business Coupe. It had been saved from winding up as landfill, had been built up by father and son, raced and enjoyed, but twenty-five years ago the Chevy was sold off. Recently, John had reconnected with the car, but couldn’t afford to buy it. John’s wife Angela rigged up a deal to bring the car back to the family recently, and under the guise of bringing four generations of Lovings together for a photo opportunity was able to surprise her husband. The story is not so much about the car here…it’s about how one vehicle can bring many people together.
