Bucked Bronco: Reviving A No-Joke Trash Can Of A Bronco For A Cheap-Truck Challenge

That’s it, it’s official. The next time I find some abandoned, unloved, half-destroyed Ford truck that most people would happily ship to the crusher with no secondary concern for it’s stage as a “classic”, that Kevin from Junkyard Digs needs to be called for one final effort on making the truck live before abandoning all hope and letting the junkyard get one more ton of iron oxide into their dumpster trailer. Flapping bedsides, flood vehicles, all sorts of bad decisions have been returned to operable condition by our young guide. Who knows, maybe he’ll write a book in another ten years: “The Fine Art Of The Shitbox, or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Rust”. You have to admit that it’s nice to see someone look at a vehicle written off as yard art with tools in hand and go max effort in fixing it up. It is why we dig what he does.

So, unlike most videos, I’m actually kind of thin on information regarding what the story is regarding this truck. It’s been sitting since just after the turn of the millennium and has the structural integrity of a tortilla chip. With as much rust as it has all over, chances are good that it’s been as salty too. This is the kind of rig that you hit with a pressure washer until only the grille and one headlight remain for a joke. But this isn’t a joke…he’s digging this one up with a purpose. A legitimate purpose. One that involves actual competition.

Kevin: medics ARE on standby, right?
