See that blur in the photo? That’s a Subaru, and yes, it really is rolling over that fast. Rally Finland has an infamous reputation as a car-killer rally, complete with gravel roads that are famous for being able to offer drivers the chance at high speeds, forests filled with trees that will stop a car immediately, plenty of jumps to get a car airborne, and that’s all before the snow falls. Rally Finland is so tough that there is actually a count of how many non-Nordic drivers win the event, because it is so rare. What isn’t rare is the sound of crunching metal and breaking glass as a car turns itself into a mangled ball of metal. This compilation of Rally Finland’s bigger crashes was put together by WRC themselves in preparation for this year’s rally…which, undoubtedly, will have plenty of crash footage to follow along, we’re sure.
