Chevrolet Celebrates The 500,000th Fifth-Gen Camaro And Teases The Sixth-Generation In This Video

When the Camaro returned for it’s fifth generation in early 2009 as a model-year 2010 car, it was a retro design that went straight for the first generation Camaro’s styling. Love it or not, the Camaro has been a sales success since it returned, and GM has only improved upon it. They’ve done hot V6 versions. SLP got to tune them. Jay Leno got a version. COPO made a glorious return with the drag pack cars. We got Super Sport, Rally Sport, Z/28, ZL1, 1LE, and of course, there was that black-and-yellow package with the funky badges on the fenders, but let’s not discuss that too much. But it’s starting to get long in the tooth and we know that GM has the sixth-generation car lined up and ready to go. But before the sixth-gen Camaro appears, they sent out this video…see, over half-a-million fifth-gen Camaros found homes, and such a milestone deserves a proper celebration. A Z/28 obliterating it’s tires…now that’s a proper celebration for a Camaro.
