Classic YouTube: Working A 1926 Ford Model TT On The Farm

Farm life will work some strength into you one way or another. Hauling feed, hauling hay, packing around tools, wrenching, field work…whether you want to or not, you will get strong. Every hour is used, every machine is a tool to help your day go along that much easier. I can only imagine what farmers first thought of the Ford Model TT when they first saw it in action. A one-ton pickup version of the Ford Model T that had been strengthened up and geared to the moon for work, the TT was all about getting a job done. Back then, it was a work truck. Today, it’s an antique and if it’s in working order, all the better.

This 1926 example lives it’s life out on a farm in New Zealand. It appears to be restored and cared for, but it isn’t sitting around gathering dust and looking pretty. It’s still employed on the farm, hauling hay…and not in the “aw, how cute, look at the old truck working” mentality. This truck is getting used in the same manner as it was probably used back in the day. In fact, this is probably a light load compared to what it was doing all those decades ago!
