High performance car plus low performance driver always means that inevitably, a badass car is going to find it’s way onto Copart.com, the online search hub for everything dead and crunched in the automotive world. We watched for the first Hellcat and sure enough, the lime-green Challenger made it’s way into the lot in short order. The Ford Shelby GT350 Mustangs are just now getting out there and Jalopnik found the first one, sitting in Copart’s Phoenix, Arizona lot with nose damage.
With 247 actual miles on the clock, we are really wondering what happened here. Phoenix is flat, but around the area are plenty of canyon roads to get silly on, but we’d expect the car to be a little more worse for the wear. Wild Horse Pass in Chandler has a road course, so it’s possible that the new owner went straight to the track to have a bit of fun and drove well beyond his skill level and tapped a barrier. Or there is Phoenix Metro traffic, and the Shelby was just the unwitting victim of random motorist stupidity. Either way, it looks like the 5.2L Voodoo V8 escaped harm, so even if the Shelby is done, there is plenty to recover. Anybody want to try a Fox-body swap with this block?

Not being an expert (at anything), how was this amount of damage make this a total??? Did he ride up over the armco, was the interior sprayed with taco based #2 or was the trunk filled with festering Trump protestors?
Really , no way would I swap the motor out……far easier to fix it. If I were the adjusted , once the news ofbthis total got out , I’d be in fear of my job .

Lets see,Curb high enough to pop the air bags ,car continues forward nails just below the damper,hits front of block,knocks oil pan off,continues into the bell houseing/flywheel/clutch/trans ,driveshaft pushes diff back too.
Engine,Trans,Rear,subfloor,windshield,the bags plus the interior trim.Not to mention the big pile in which ever seat the person who payed for the car was sitting in.
The big wet spot in the picture is trying to tell the site unseen buyer a lot.
I once looked at a Saleen Mustang that just had the valance knocked off (pre Airbag) it broke everything under the car.
