Formula Offroad is comprised of four-wheel drive vehicles that can, with the appropriate amount of throttle applied, completely and utterly defy physics. Mountain of gravel and ash? Oh, we’ll just drive right up the side of that sucker and catch some air at the crest, no big deal. Water in the way? Not a problem…get into high gear and hang on as we turn this high-horsepower buggy into an impromptu hydrofoil. Of all of the worldwide automotive phenomena out there, Formula Offroad has some of the strongest connections with a similar gravity-defying group, rockbouncers. Earlier this year we got wind that some of the Icelandic drivers were going to ship their rigs to the United States to take part at an event at the Bikini Bottoms off-road park in Tennessee, and we’re now starting to see the action from Dyersburg for ourselves. We’re pretty sure rockbouncers know what drifting is all about, but watching a thousand-horsepower off road rig on paddle tires hang the back end out on water is something that we highly doubt they were ready for!
