The Gathering at the Roc is a truly special car show, and for good reason. This show is held at Woolaroc, a wildlife preserve located in Oklahoma that features 3,700 acres of ranch lands that have been made into a preserve for both native and exotic animals. The beauty of this location is that it isn’t just a static car show, because there are roads to cruise and landscape to enjoy and that is exactly what folks do. Yes, there are a few hundred cars on site, but this show is about more than just cars parked in one spot all day. In fact, it’s a lot more.
This is video number two from John Jackson at this event, with the first one being the cars that are going out to cruise on what they call the Reliability Run for those cars that are truly street cars and not just show queens. This second video is all the cars in the show, regardless of whether they cruised or not, coming into the show grounds at Woolaroc.
This show is referred to as a traditional hot rod show for the discerning man. It makes us laugh when we say it, but its also pretty fitting.
