I love this car. Absolutely love it. There is something perfect about a big-body cop car that plays like a smaller muscle car, drifts like a built Nissan with a few friends strapped in for the fun, and screams like the ultimate delinquent. Project Neighbor isn’t just YouTube screwball comedy…you have to see this thing in action to understand just how wild this P71 actually is. Truth be told, Cleetus didn’t really have to build a Camaro to take to Australia. He could’ve sent this car over and raised seven shades of hell with the lightbar blazing and the audience would’ve gone insane. I’ve shot photos of him tandem drifting with Vaughn Gittin, Jr. on his ass around Beech Bend’s relatively tight drift course. I still intend to go for a ride in this machine at some point…maybe Ford Fest this year. Maybe.

Neighbor has been together for a bit of time and has been shockingly solid, considering just how hard Cleetus beats on this car. It’s also looked pretty much the same as well for the longest time. Well, both of those points will be changed…the Shelby-sourced engine is gaining a brand new VMP blower to replace the older VMP unit that has seen some stuff, the car is getting an appropriate wrap that fits with Cleetus’s workings for the year, and without any kind of question, it’s time for new tires. We’re talking all four corners, down to the cords, replacement time.
