Normally, Petrolicious picks a car for one of their features…something stunningly gorgeous, with a story that needs to be told, some of the best cinematic shooting out there, and that’s that. But this time, whether by accident or on purpose, showcased more than the Acura NSX they claim is the feature car. Owners Scott King and Sandy Edelstein have acquired a collection of almost random vehicles, from the jaw-dropping 1958 Mercury Park Lane, complete with miles of chrome, tons of metal, and all of the cocky swagger any late-50s car boasted, to the NSX…the car that took one look at the Italians and proceeded to show them how reliability and practicality could not only be part of the program, but how important it was for a car to have them in the consumer’s eyes. In-between? Well, when you have a Mercury Bobcat in the collection, you can call it many things: eclectic, motley, whatever. But the guys are moving towards cars that can be driven and enjoyed, and while the Park Lane is awesome to look at, driving it…well, that’s not exactly a strong point.
you can do whatever with that NSX , That Park Lane is the Bee’s Knee’s . . .
NSX never impressed me. They do stuff well but we’re never an impressive car.
