While Bonneville gets a lot more attention than any other land speed racing venue, everyone knows that the hardest place to go fast is actually El Mirage. Getting into the 200 mph Club at El Mirage is way harder than at Bonneville, and it’s really hard at Bonneville! With just 1.33 miles to accelerate for, and a surface that is at best smoothish but incredibly silty, or at worst rough as hell and silty. It’s dirty at a whole other level, but in the video below you’ll get a unique look on video as our friend Donnie Cummins goes 264 mph in the 911 Roadster. This is one of the most famous land speed racing roadsters in history, and it crushed the record with Donnie behind the wheel last weekend. Check out the video below.
