Influence and Impact: Episode 16- History of Car Shows, Auto Shows, Hot Rod, Import Car Meets, Lowrider Shows

In the Influence and Impact series, our friends Marcel and Jason take a look at builders, history, and the movements that have shaped the custom car and truck world, and in this episode they are talking about the evolution of car shows and events. In this age of giant car and truck shows it seems like there are folks who have forgotten just how it was to get to this point. And not only the size of events, but the things that are going on at them, the kinds of venues, and so much more. It is absolutely nuts how big some little shows have gotten. But it is also awesome to see some small and exclusive and cool events that still exist.

Watch the show and you’ll see what we mean.

Video Description:

Auto Revolution’s Influence & Impact traces the automotive history of custom car and truck builders.

Custom car shows began to grow after World War II, many of those pioneering hot rod shows still occur today including the Grand National Roadster Show and Detroit Autorama.

Since that time, car shows, festivals, and cruise nights have been organized catering to every genre and lifestyle of the custom car scene, and all over the world.

We take a look at the history of auto shows and custom car shows from hot rods to Kustoms and lowriders, muscle cars, and elaborate show displays.
