Different truck models and eras might come and go as the hottest and latest thing, but trucks always have and always will be popular. And one of the greatest things about custom trucks is the fact that they come in so many different shapes and styles. If you go to any of the biggest and baddest shows in the country you will see such variety that it is kind of mind blowing. I forgot that a bit until I brought some friends to Lone Star Throwdown last year and got to see this amazing show through a new set of eyes.
While I love this show, and appreciate the incredible turnout and variety, I didn’t put enough thought into the eras that are represented or the inspiration for their builds. Regardless of the model, or the era, custom trucks get a ton of styling and inspiration from hot rods.
That’s the stuff that Jason and Marcel are talking about in this episode, as they talk about the history of custom trucks.
