YouTube is a weird beast. You make videos, you hope that people will follow your work, you hope that you can monetize those videos via ad revenue, and when you reach milestones, you do something special that is supposed to make the viewer feel like they are celebrating with you. I think that’s how it goes, anyways, and if any of the gaming YouTubers I watch are any indication, that usually means that they show their face on camera or put together a large montage video of stuff from the past. Not the How Ridiculous channel. When they struck a million subscribers to their channel, they pulled out the stops on one of their favorite subjects: dropping objects from heights onto things.
The target is a Mitsubishi 380. It’s an Aussie-spec sedan that is styled closely to the Mitsubishi Galant we got in the States, not that you’re really bothered…if it’s not an Evo, no Mitsubishi made after 2000 is going to do the trick. It’s parked in a sand pit, and there are tarps laid around. And there’s a tower that stands about 150 feet tall right next to it. And there are a group of guys with a bunch of stuff that they will dump onto the car with only gravity helping out. Name your poison: darts, javelins, watermelons? How about going full Looney Tunes and breaking out the anvils? Yeah, it all happens, and more. Do you feel bad for the car or are you cheering on the next thing to go over the rail and down onto the Mitsu?
