Big power means big problems when things don’t go right at the track, and for Jim Brinkerhoff, from the moment the he hit the pedal during the Throwdown at T-Town, the problems came full-force. First, he redlit at the launch against Eddie Rogers’ 1969 Chevelle…that’s bad enough, but then the Pro Modified Camaro blew the tires off and the car took a severe right turn straight into the wall of the track. Luckily, Brinkerhoff was uninjured and well in control, as you see him shut the car down and dump the nitrous out of the lines before anything bad could have happened. When finding a replacement front clip is the post-crash priority, then you know that the crash wasn’t too bad. Here’s to getting the car back together for next year!
Has there ever been a Pro Mod race where nobody wrecked one of those things ? I hate those things, but that’s just me. Millions love them but they are the most dangerous cars ever built, but again that’s just my opinion.
