We hadn’t heard about this thing before, but apparently this independent film is the “Most Driven Car Film Ever Made”. That sounds cheezy to us, but the trailer looks like it could be cool. This one appears to fit well within the gearhead “exploitation” genre that used to be so popular in the late ’50s and early ’60s.
Why does nearly every car-driven film have to include awful dialogue and tired tropes like:
— the racer who funds his “habit” through criminality.
— the scantilly-clad hottie who just “gives it up” at the drop the “green flag” for our crooked anti-hero.
–Lots of gratuitious crashing (faux “excitement” that treats cars like disposable props).
–characters so “tuff” that nobody can empathize with them . . . or even want to be in the same room with them.
— A police chase
–Absolutely stupid adverstising
Are the standards for a “car” film really that abysmal?
No fart cans? Not a car flick.
Now that I said that, It does remind me of the old type movies. Will I get it in some way? Meh.
Looks good ,I like scantily clad broads and Camaro’s ,what else could you want ?

Engaging and original dialogue . . .
A story arc that hasn’t been “played” more times that I can count and isn’t plainly derivative of other car “exploitation tripe . . .
Some acknowledgement that the automobiles (even Camaros) aren’t just disposable beer cans on wheels, but instead the treasured products of hard work and big investments . . .
At least some characters that one would like to identify with . . .
Women that are something more than human inflatable $#% toys . . . .
A positive image for the automotive hobby . . . .

I don’t think a movie about three guys standing around drinking beer and staring at an engine bay would make for a very exciting movie.
