Riot! Check Out The Highlights From Jake Burkey’s 2017 Rockbouncing Season!

What you will see here is Jake Burkey’s last season with the old Riot buggy…for 2018 he’s stepping up to a newer, lighter rig that is expected to show up to the first event of the year at Northwest ORV Park in Bridgeport, Texas. When you think of a riot, you think loud noises, violence, and a high potential for injury. Burkey’s got the name down pat, because if there is a better way of describing rockbouncing to someone unfamiliar with the sport, I haven’t heard it yet. You strap into an exoskeleton of tubes hooked to two monsterous axles and shocks that could support landing aircraft, key a pissed-off LS mill into life, point the nose at the one hill everybody and their mother says can’t be climbed…you know, the one with stumps, rock ledges, and man-made carvings MEANT to screw your day up? Yeah…point the nose there and stand on the loud pedal until you either hit the top of the hill or you learn that gravity is a real mother. And hey, if you didn’t break anything on the tumble back down the hill, try, try and try again! This dude is nuts, as is everyone else he races with, and when all of his buddies are clamoring to see the new rig, that’s a sign. Meanwhile, check out this compilation of his 2017 achievements put together by Busted Knuckle Video below:
