Roadkill! The Guys Celebrate The 50th Episode With Another Comparison: Every (running) Roadkill Car Against A Kia!

It’s amazing how far these two have come. From the first episode, where they road-tripped a Pontiac land yacht to picking up one of my favorite online finds of all time and confusing it with an Italian sports car, David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan have managed to survive fifty episodes of sketchy rides, strange trips, carnage for the sake of carnage and Bad Idea 101. Five years, fifty episodes, and controversy aplenty…and they’re still here. To celebrate, the guys revisit the concept that they did for the 25th episode: all of the running Roadkill project cars are going to go against a Kia Rio 5. Note the “running” part: some cars were sold, some cars are mysteriously gone (what, no Gremmie?) and as for the Rotsun Z-car…well, how hard do you have to beat a car to break a crankshaft in half?!

Unlike the 25th show, the Motor Trend guys are not going to be driving the rental car. After laying a baseline with the pastel lemon Kia, it’s time to break out the real stars of the show. Only one car from the 25th episode returns: the Raunchero, now fitted with a random 302 that acts like it’s been yanked from a 1983 LTD. No bueno. But there’s still plenty to love, from big, lumbering trucks like Stubby Bob and Harry the Tow Truck to the wild units we love, like the Muscle Truck Chevy, the Crop Duster, and the Vette-Kart. The question remains: can any of these piles whip a Kia’s ass on an autocross? Click play below to find out!

It’s called Roadkill, what dignity is there to be had?

Another awesome episode! Favorite car has to be Draguar! It does some killer burnouts!

I love Roadkill. Hate the butchered hoods. Will someone buy them a couple of low profile air cleaners?
