After meeting the man himself at Street Car Takeover Bowling Green, I wondered if 1320Video’s legendary patriot Cleetus McFarland had any sense of fear in his body. He rode around Beech Bend on his pit bike’s rear wheel like a well-trained circus bear and might have had something to do involving an Alpha-tuned Nissan GT-R and the circle track early in the morning that triggered a nerve or two at the track…the man has no fear. He might have had concern as he saw me downing watermelon and Gatorade in a futile attempt to stay hydrated, but he wasn’t the only one, so we won’t count that.
But this Pontiac Trans Am just might reawaken his sense of self-preservation. This is “Sketchy Vert”, and it lives up to the name…this car is known for fishtailing and scaring the hell out of onlookers and racers alike. With a ProCharged LSX and plenty of nitrous on hand, this isn’t just a looker…Sketchy is a street fighter. So, naturally, putting a man without fear behind the wheel is a good idea, right? Actually…it might have been the better idea. Sketchy’s owner just might be a bit more unhinged that even Cleetus. Someone needs to have him checked out, by the way. You don’t hear bald eagles every few seconds without something wrong in your head!
