If you are thinking about building a vehicle that is going to require welding, you probably should have a clue on how to actually weld. And if you don’t, you should probably find someone else to do it for you. Oh, and before taking something to powder coat, you should probably find someone that doesn’t like you to give you an actual opinion on whether it is ready. This poor bastard doesn’t know how to weld, or fabricate for that matter, and clearly had nobody that would truthfully explain to him that his junk was not ready for the powder coater. Don’t be this guy!

The fact that someone is going to put that back together and drive it! Where do I send my sympathy….it was nice knowing you.
To quote Big Chief : It was welded by Ray Charles, with his feet.
I work with someone who welds like that, he calls them “farm boy welds”, and assures me they are extremely strong. He isn’t allowed to weld anything at work any longer.
look like the assembly line welds on GM frames from back in the day . .lol
Well this is one rat rod that was actually built by a rat!
Hopefully, this isn’t when the car owner realized he made a mistake paying that someone to do the work for him. Unfortunately, there are a lot of naive gearheads out there who have spending cash and trusted the wrong builder.
That’s called beaver chew.
Word on the street is that a 6th grader built it. So yes junk welds, but at least the kid is doing something if the story is true.
