Robert Martin at MSD found this one yesterday and sent it over saying that this one was rare. You think? Hell yes it’s rare! Who else has a ’69 Camaro SS that has never been titled or registered. Nobody we know, except this guy. According to the ad, this Camaro is all original, except for the engine which was replaced because it was used as a race car, and a few upgrades to the brakes and such for weight savings. All the original parts to the car are included however, except for the engine.
The ad states that an entire history of the car is included with the sale and that includes several drag racing records from “back in the day”.
What I find interesting on this car is some of the options. While the car is equipped with a Cowl Induction Hood, Power Disc Brakes, rear mounted antenna, and Endura front bumper, it does not have the spoiler package that would have included a body color rear spoiler on the deck lid and black chin spoiler up front. This certainly isn’t the first Camaro we’ve seen with several specific options and no spoilers, but we still find it interesting.
With an asking price of $75,000, this bad boy isn’t going to be cheap. And we’re not arguing one way or the other as to whether it’s worth it, but one thing we do find interesting is the 17,000 miles on it. That’s roughly 17,000 dragstrip passes if you figure the shut down area, driving back to the pits, back to the starting line, etc. That is a ton of runs. So how did this thing get that many miles without being registered? We’re not sure, but we certainly are intrigued. Oh, and regardless we want it. After all it’s a bitchin Camaro.

I would pass it up due to the paint loss on the upper radiator tank section….
