BangShift Garage Spotlight: We Show You Some of Our Favorite Readers Rides

There are tons of great cars and trucks in the BangShift Garages on our Forums, and now we’ve even added a commenting feature! Today we decided to gives some of our guys a little love by putting together 5 of our favorites. If you want your car to be chosen for our BangShift Garage Spotlight, then you have to build yourself a garage. It is super easy and fun, and your buddies can then hang out with you and bench race right here on the site. This weeks BangShift Garage Spotlight features a straight-axle ’55 Chevy, wheelstanding Mustang, 545 Cubic Inch Fox Body, street strip ’66 Impala, and a 1969 Dodge Dart which shows that we like everything. Visit their garages, comment on their cars, and let us know right here on the blog item which one is your favorite and why.

Paul’s ’55 has the perfect straight-axle stance, 40 year old paint, giant traction bars, and a killer drivetrain. We approve. To visit Paul’s ’55 Garage and get more information and photos, click here.

The ’55 also features the perfect engine and trans combo. I mean, who can argue with a 327 with a Tunnel Ram and Holleys on it, backed up by a Super T-10?

As BangShift’s first photo contributor, Joe Grippo holds a special place in our hearts around here. He continues to hammer out photos and event coverage like nobody’s business and we love him for it. We also love him for his killer 1970 Mustang. Mostly cause it hangs to hoops like mad, but also because it’s hard to argue with small block power, a lot of gear, and big weight. Yeah, it’s cool. Visit Grippos garage here.

With 388 Inches under the hood, 4.56s out back, and a 3410 weight, it’s seriously impressive that this thing runs mid 10’s at almost 130 all day long.

BBR, one of the most dedicated BangShift Forum members has been building his Big Block Ranger and now Big Block Fox Body on the site for the past few years. His ’83 Mustang is cool because it’s low buck and works. He has done all the building himself, on both projects, and we can’t wait to see the Mustang finally out on the dragstrip. Visit BBR’s garage here.

That’s no 460. It’s 545 inches of Big Ford baby. We dig it.

The Bossman’s, 1966 Impala really gets us going. Maybe it’s because we are suckers for ’66 B-Body’s and have one of our own. Maybe it’s because we dig big drag cars. Maybe it’s because we are idiots. Whatever the reason, we love it. With a 406 backed up by a Th400 the thing moves pretty good. He’s still running the 3.36 rear gear but has a built 9 inch ready. I can’t wait to see it run the big numbers. When do we get to spray it Bossman? Visit Bossman’s garage here.

Superstock1 has a cool build in his garage and we couldn’t pass it up. As you would expect it’s a drag car, but not just any. It’s the Gringo Honeymoon! A 1969 Dodge Dart filled with 540 inches of Indy Predator that features a paint scheme he handled himself using stuff from Eastwood. We’re jealous! To check out Superstock1’s garage, click here.

For your chance at being one of the BangShift Garage Spotlights, you have to build yourself a garage. The more pics the better too. To build your own garage, visit our forums here.
