YouTuber “BigKleib34” has been a busy man lately, shooting some of the fastest and most impressive stuff he can find at the strip, and he doesn’t disappoint with this find. The story goes that a lady sold this 1986 Jeep Cherokee to Blair’s Auto Care in Essex, Maryland for a new headlight switch and after hearing the quote for the new switch and install, decided instead to sell it to the shop owner for $200. At that point there was plenty of win in the story, but that’s only the start of the madness. It’s resulted in this tube-framed lunchbox, filled to the brim with 707 cubic inches of nitrous-snorting Mopar under the hood! An XJ Cherokee isn’t aerodynamically friendly, but the engine has enough suds (and nitrous) to propel this brick to the eight-second range. That’s some serious haulage, and that’s with the wheels pulled at the line. And it’s fully plated and street legal, too! Sure, there may have been an “incident” where the factory glass sunroof took flight, but what’s a few minutes with a broom sweeping up glass shards when you’re cranking off quick times in a vehicle you practically stole from the former owner?
The Holy Toledo’s younger brother?
More proof of Enzo’s saying that aerodynamics are for people who can’t build engines. 😀
Sounds to me like he swindled the old lady
I am the owner , builder , driver of this Jeep I love it and thank you for your kind word about it.. By the way the engine is a Mopar Mega 440 stroked to a 505 not a 707.. Thanks again. It has been as fast as a 8.44 162 mph. I am tuning a new NOS system from Induction Solutions and hope to get some high 7 sec passes
