Newbern is back at it with his drag and drive Fox body Mustang and this time they are out in Alabama duking it out with Finnegan in the Rubber Duck Firebird. It doesn’t go like Newbern hoped. But it would make one hell of a bracket car! Check it out.

On this episode we head over to Alabama International Dragway to do some testing. I meet up with Finnegan who’s trying to run an 8 second pass in the rubber duck firebird. Meanwhile, I’m over here just trying to break into the 6’s in the 1/8… The mustang ran a 7.0 in the 1/8 the last time out and since then we added a new camshaft and swapped the rear gear ratio from 373 to 456. It started out like your typical roadkill episode. The brake master cylinder started leaking before I even made a pass. After fixing that we ran a 7.1 at 102 five times in a row. Although slower than before I was impressed at how consistent it was. Turns out we have the wrong torque converter in the trans and the car is an absolute dog off the line. But a bad day at the track beats any day stuck inside!
