The guys at Ridetech are challenging all the Midwestern hot rodders out there. They are using Jim McKamey’s All Wheel Drive, Twin 500 inch Caddy Powered Yugo as bate, to see if you’ll bring your wacky creations out to the Goodguys All American Nationals and cruise them over to the Ridetech booth. If you have some odd, or eccentric (that’s the politically correct term for “weird”), hot rod that is Ridetech Equipped like Jim’s Yugo, drive it buy and you just might win something. Hell, we’re going to throw down the BangShift Challenge and say to take your wacky ride over there even if it’s NOT Ridetech equipped. Tell Bret and the gang that Chad from BangShift sent you and I assure you they’ll still get you in the pot for some possible winnings!
It’s going to be hard to beat Jim’s twin engine Yugo, but who cares, you don’t have to be weirder than that to win.
By the way, we dig the Yugo. This little bastard has to be an absolute riot to drive with at least 900 lbs of torque. We want one!
“They are using Jim McKamey’s All Wheel Drive, Twin 500 inch Caddy Powered Yugo as” BAIT . . . .
Building twin-engined cars is about the only thing FWD transaxles are good for . . . .
Is it just me, or does Jim sort of resemble Heisenberg (minus the porkpie hat)?
Clearly, RWD is superior for performance cars but the rarity of the configuration over the last thirty years means lots of people have little option but to soup up what they can, which can still be fast and fun. And isn’t that what Hot Rodding is supposed to be about?
…and I have to work. Damn.
