I’ve been around the track that the 24 Hours of Daytona are run on and can tell you that it is fun, fast, and a bit scary depending on what you are driving and how fast. But to watch this video of the Cadillac prototype going around this track is truly something special. In car footage is always amazing, but the way this car works is something other worldly. Clearly it takes skill to run a car at this level, there is no doubt in that, but the car itself is so good that the driver can concentrate on putting it where it should be rather than driving around deficiencies. And while I’m sure this footage would be awesome during the day, there is something special about the fact that it is happening at night. Seriously awesome, without a doubt.

Arguing over the best engine configuration is a never-ending battle. Everyone has their favourite and it takes a lot for you to change their mind. The Goodwood office has very differing opinions, but we all immediately agreed that this V8 sounded incredible. The V8 in question is in a Cadillac DPi-V.R and we’re getting to hear it at full chat as it laps the wonderful Daytona circuit at the Classic 24.
