BangShifter Nick Coker made a one minute video that uses a smattering of perfectly awesome vintage drag racing clips and a monologue to share what the sport of drag racing means to him and since we’re here at the 2014 Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion we thought it was a perfect day to share this film with you. Why? Historic Beech Bend Raceway will be filled this weekend with people who have a deep, deep passion for the sport of drag racing. There will be people here who have participated for their whole lives and some who made their living in or off the sport.

It will also be filled with the weekend warriors who simply participate for the love of the game and the love of the challenge of making their car go that tenth of a second faster or their drive to cut a perfect light and beat the other guy by a thou at the stripe. All of this is important to the people here this weekend like it is important to us. We get it, we share the love, and we revel in being able to project it and share it with people.
