While we knew that Ford’s upscale Harley Davidson edition package extended through most of its truck line we did not know that it was available on the F-450 truck that the company sells. The F-450 is kind of like the Spinal Tap amp that goes to 11, right? Obviously the thing is more beefy than an F-350 but to the average Joe on the street, he’s probably not going to the get the differences between the more commonly seen F-350 and the fully industrial strength F-450. This truck is a little big different than any other F-450 we have ever seen on a couple fronts, though. For starters it is one of the few Harley Davidson edition F-450s you will ever see. That package got you all the dress up stuff, a premium interior, sound, etc. This truck then got the full treatment with a Kelderman 6-8 inch lift, custom bumpers, some tuning on the big PowerStroke diesel engine and large American Force wheels. To say that this is a big boy would be understating it. In person we’re guessing this baby is really something. Originally built by the owner to be a show truck, we think it would look fine and any truck event you wanted to roll into. Also we’d like to get it a little dirty as well in the mud!
Call us names if you want but we like the look of this monster. We’re still recovering from some of the “stuff” we saw at SEMA this year which was completely and utterly over the top in the truck world so to see one that is big like this and still functional is pretty great. The Kelderman components are made to handle whatever you plan on doing to the truck, that means dirt, snow, muck, whatever. Remember, the Kelderman family’s manufacturing prowess was derived from the agricultural machine world and neither breakdowns nor wimpyness are allowed in that world so their truck parts are built with the same level of indestructibility. Just look at the photos below where you can see some of the Kelderman components bolted to the truck.
This is a big truck with a big tag on it…..anyone want to help us knock over a bank? For what the truck is, we don’t think it is a crazy asking price but it is still a few bucks more than we have to spend by a large magnitude.
