When we ran into Scott Graham and the guys from LASD Motorsports at SEMA, we had no clue just how bad assed they are. I mean they are cops, so that gives them some unique qualifications the rest of us may not have, but we’re not talking about that. We’re talking about horsepower! The LASD (Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputies) Motorsports team is made up of a team of bad asses, both on the street and on the track. On the street they are handling the Protect and Serve part of their lives, but on their time and their dime they are out racing some awesome cars and using them to support their community. You have to check these out.
While LASD Motorsports is the largest law enforcement endorsed group in the country, these guys are not getting paid to race or having their cars built with law enforcement funds. What they are doing is spending time both on and off the track teaching the public about motorsports, the dangers of street racing, and other activities you just don’t want to be a part of. Lets face it, these guys are racers and they love it, but it would be much easier for them to go home and work on their race car and go racing on the weekends, rather than to paint their cars up in Police colors, and take them all over the place for educational and promotional programs AND to the race track to race. The passion and dedication here is great, and they deserve our support. A bunch of BangShift Sponsors like Aeromotive, MSD, Autometer, Edelbrock, ARP, Mickey Thompson, and more support these teams with parts and support, because what they do is important. Their 2015 Season is going to include tons of events, starting off with the upcoming NHRA Youth and Education Services Career Day that revolves around the season opening NHRA Winter Nationals, along with tons of races and other community events. BangShift is hoping to be able to attend and participate in some of these events in 2015 as well, and look forward to it. This weekend Scott Graham is up in Mesquite Nevada for a huge car show weekend. These guys are hard core. Can you help us support LASD Motorsports?
