This 1967 Ford F100 Has The Pro Street Stance But It Needs The Pro Street Suds – Sheep In Wolf’s Clothing

This 1967 Ford F100 Has The Pro Street Stance But It Needs The Pro Street Suds – Sheep In Wolf’s Clothing

We have to admire the seller of this awesome 1967 Ford F100 truck a little because he planned on going who hog on this truck and really getting crazy with the chassis, engine etc, but found himself too much in love with how it drove to actually cut it up. Rather than force himself to do something he’s not into, the guy is looking to unload the tough looking truck onto someone else who can drive it as is or take it to the next level. We strongly recommend “the next level” because as solid as the 352ci engine and three speed on the floor are, this truck cannot be all that swift off the line or anywhere really. You cannot argue the look though. The stance is awesome and we love trucks like this one with steamroller tires out back. It just looks awesome with that wheel well filled to the gills back there.

The interior is spotless and beautiful, the engine bay is the same way, and the seller calls himself a “perfectionist”. He says that everything on the truck works like it is supposed to from the factory and the machine will run down the road at 70mph all day long. The drivetrain only has 45,000 original miles on it and these FE engines, if properly cared for will run virtually forever. Admittedly we’d throw the 352 and four speed out of this truck as quickly as we could remove it but how awesome would it be with a stroker FE or a blown FE? A ProCharged FE would be beyond awesome because keeping the flat hood would really make this thing.

How would you build the drivetrain of this truck? The chassis is more or less done we want to know how you would power/transmission it!

What? Are you kiddin’ me? This thing is perfect as is, as a driver. I saw a guy at Bowling Green a couple of years ago with a Volvo Amazon. Straight axle, injector stacks, biggies in the rear, and the stock four banger under the hood. Looked cool as hell, got like 35+ MPG. It was just SO perfect; I’ve got a picture of it somewhere…

Twin turbo Coyote hidden under the stock hood with some kind of farm truck looking exhaust behind the rear tires.

that is the problem with too many Pro Street car guys, they want the look but not the performance. I will take a sleeper any day.

There’s a lot of potential there. If I was going to CA. anytime soon I’d go for it.
A blown 429 and a C6 should wake it up real good.
