So my motivation with this post is two-fold. Firstly I want to show off this awesome old Ford truck and its screaming 358ci Windsor style small block, ratty good looks, killer stance, and handling prowess. Secondly I want to try and find the guy who owns it so we can do a full feature work up on the truck here at BangShift. See, this video was shot at Lime Rock Park in Connecticut so I know it is somewhere in the greater New England area where Nutting and I can cruise to the guy’s place and knock it out. Admit it, after watching this video, listening to the quick change rear end scream, and the truck hang the tail out, you want to know the full scoop. I sure as heck do.
If you have never been to Lime Rock, it needs to be on your gearhead places to visit list. The track is a veritable postage stamp compared to the modern, sprawling facilities of today but LOTS of fantastic racing history has taken place on the main road course which measures at a little more than a mile long. This video was shot at the track’s dedicated autocross area and you will see that there are some options on course layout and path, etc. Judging by the amount of rubber laid on those turns there is plenty of action around the autocross course over the span of the year. This video was taken during the summer as you will note the lush green of the forest that surrounds the track.
I have been there as a media guy as part of a race team in college, and have even announced a few laps in the track’s classic looking control building. It is a special place and a gearhead historical site that every car guy worth his salt needs to see at least once! Now, we need to find out who owns this truck so we can get details and really show it off!

I’m gonna wager the straight axel isn’t under it anymore. Pretty bitchin none the less. I wish I could get passed my pretty truck problems and run my ’52 in a similar state.
