Forget the usual “us versus them” deal that gear heads get into when it comes to burnout contests. Americans do standstill burnouts and Aussies have their tire-punishment pit where they go nuts. All of it is fine and fair, but after seeing this video, something tells me that Norway has something to be proud of here. The driver of this well-worn Toyota Cressida is Fredrik Sørlie and apparently sometime early last year a “Burnout Challenge” was flying around the Internet, similar to that one thing where people were dumping buckets of water on their heads. The main deal behind it was to do an epic burnout within 24 hours of the challenge. Issuing a Norwegian a burnout challenge in February is a low blow, mainly because everything is covered in snow and ice, but Sørlie accepted the challenge with grace, digging out some summer tires for the occasion and locating a plowed parking lot. He apologizes for not meeting the deadline, but he does have an excellent form of compensation. Remember, this is in Norway, where the health and safety laws tend to be a little more sane than our own. Our only question: somebody did have some warm water nearby, in case her…uh…personality stuck to the roof of the car, right?
Why aren’t you founding this? Oh wait.. you can do it here

I can’t even get my wife to sit IN the car when I do a burnout….
Fredrik Sorlie’s Cressida is badass. Check out his “Bring Back The Touge” and “Scandinavian Flickfest” videos to see that he flogs the living hell out of this car. A case of doing a lot with very little.
Read the above comments regarding the car – What car, all I’m seeing is the babe on the roof.
Oh yeh there is a car – took me three views to notice the car.
Whats the car doing in the clip – I’m totally distracted. LOL
I love burn outs, but the girl on the roof, DAMN!!!
