Site of the Week: Yenko.net

During the horsepower war of the 1960s in Detroit, Ford, GM and Chrysler were cranking out high performance cars that ran harder and faster than anything previously built. That was good enough for most of the general public, but there was a percentage of people who needed something more and there were a select few dealers across the country that took matters into their own hands to provide it.

Dana, Yenko, Gibb, Motion, and others took great factory cars and transformed them into legitimate super cars. They are rare, they are worth amazing amounts of money and they are cars that gearheads have openly lusted over for four decades.

Yenko.net is a neat place that combines a lot of interesting content with a message board that deals with these rare machines (along with lots of other stuff). Not suprisingly, we love the old photos of cars and the dealer ads that are posted on the site.

Check out the site and learn more about some of the most exclusive cars of the 1960s and early 1970s.
