Meet the Civette, an LS1-powered Honda Civic. It rules just as hard as you’d expect it would. The little bugger runs 10s, and from the outside you’d never suspect anything was amiss until the rear tires start making smoke. The way this thing is packaged up is really impressive. Before word got out, we’re guessing that this car horrified more than one traditional muscle car owner.
There had to have been scads of fab work to pull this whole car together and to do it so cleanly. Simply put, the math works. A breathed on LS1 doesn’t have to be set on kill if is only tasked with moving about 2,000 pounds of Honda. The video below shows it running in the 10-second range at the now closed Memphis Motorports Park. We bet it has chewed up some sporty cars at the autocross as well.
