Four laps was all it took for the Audi Sport TT Cup race at the Red Bull Ring to be red-flagged and subsequently cancelled. In rainy conditions at the Austrian track, during the second session of racing, what appeared to be a one-car hydroplane spin wound up collecting six Audis, including one horrific T-bone that ended up with Netherlands driver Loris Hezemans taking a huge hit in the right side of his Audi TT Cup racer, sparking off a spectacular engine fire. Luckily, all drivers involved with the accident escaped unharmed, but it still isn’t quite a good day when your race car has a huge dent in the side and smells like burnt wires. We bet that they felt this wreck in the morning…
