Maybe we’ve just lead sheltered lives, but our prying eyes have never been graced with the coolness of a 1959 Oldsmobile Fiesta station wagon before. This car is not in factory restored condition, but it is in perfect driver condition with some rust and rough spots, near perfect interior, and a strong running Olds 394 V8 up front to move it along. These big late 1950s and early 1960s GM cars are some of our favorites. The wild shape of the a-pillar, the vast amounts of glass surrounding the passenger area, and the sheer length and width of these cars make them eternally cool.
Exceptionally awesome regarding this car is the fact that it still is equipped with the Olds factory transistor radio that the company called the “trans-portable” radio. Like the wagon, we’ve never seen another one and we have to imagine that they are incredibly rare. The car has about 40,000 original miles on it, so that 394 should still be in great shape, delivering plenty of low end torque. The power trunk lid works, all the doors open and close nicely, and the trim, which is probably impossible to get is in fine shape. Stuff that doesn’t work is piddly like the odometer, radio and clock. That’s nothing in our eyes!
Bidding is currently at $9,200 bucks with three days to go. We think that this big girl is going to fetch some serious coin when it is all said and done. Outside of a 1959 Buick wagon which is our ultimate favorite, this is a wagon we’d love to own above all others!

Wagons always look like someone’s after thought. The fastest way to ruin the looks of a car is to make it a wagon.
But when ya have 6 youngins they are the handiest things around. Just don’t let the girls ride in the back when they’re wearing dresses. There’s no modest way to get in or out of the back.
And it’s even black, I love it! Cherry out the engine bay, lower the stance a tad, pick the right wheel and tire combo, and this thing is a show stopper.
