Would You Drive It? A Chevy Van That We Give A Resounding “YES YES YES!”

Would You Drive It? A Chevy Van That We Give A Resounding “YES YES YES!”

You never know what you are going to find at Beech Bend Raceway when it’s time for the National Hot Rod Reunion. Everything from hot rods, customs, trick golf carts, drag cars, and more are all on site and in huge quantities. The cool thing is that this year we found several cars, trucks, and vans that we are going to use for the “Would You Drive It?” blog items over the next week. One that grabbed us as soon as we saw it was this insanely clean, and ultra bitchin Chevy Passenger Van. You know that we have a weakness for Vans around here, and after seeing an A-Team Van in the spectator parking lot we had Van on the brain in a big big way.

Normally, hot rod vans seem to be the typical panel Van rather than one with windows, but not this one. Who knows what it’s got for power or modifications, other than the lowering job and early model Rally wheels. Whatever else is done is just a bonus, cause to us this thing is super cool and would be a way better family truckster than some stupid Minivan. What do you think?

Would you drive it?

    1. Joe H,

      I second the tripple NO!

Give me a panel with a tacky mural, sidepipes, shag carpet and slots over this rolling greenhouse any day…..

If the only choice is mini van walking or this, I suppose I would have to choose this. Otherwise NO!

I love vans, I’ve had four of them and look at every full-size I see with lustful eyes. And that’s a nice one, just a shame someone lowered it! Stupid and ugly. So no, I would not drive it, or work on it. That’s the best part about a van, no need for a jack!

Heck yeah I’d drive it, but I think it needs a turbo LS set behind the driver with one of those inboard boat motor covers with cup holders to hide it.

I’m really surprised that the Bangshift staff that is oh so knowledgeable called it a Chevy van multiple times. It clearly has GMC badges all over it. Yes, even being a Mopar guy, I’d drive the crap out of it, looks great!

Ain’t a dime’s difference between a Chevy and a GMC other than than badges.

Bad ass. Clever. I would deconstruct it further, however. Take it down to a rat rod, and replace the grill with something appropriate to that theme. Sweet ride the way it is, though.
