Dyno Test: A 2013 Mustang Barbie Edition Power Wheels Gets Strapped To The Rollers!

Dyno Test: A 2013 Mustang Barbie Edition Power Wheels Gets Strapped To The Rollers!

Hot rodders are all a little on the screwy side and when you combine that with our seemingly limitless level of need to know how powerful, fast, and otherwise performance oriented stuff is, this video makes sense…or not. Anyway, a shop owner bought a new Mustang Barbie edition Power Wheels for his kiddo and after performing the “some assembly required” part, he did the sensible thing and actually dyno tested the little plastic tired contraption. The video is funny, not only because it shows the insane levels of power the thing produces, but also because the guy doing the test has some fun with it. How could he not?!

We have seen pocket bikes on a chassis dyno, go karts, open wheel dirt cars, and everything in between, but this is officially a new one on us. Will the plastic tires get enough grip to turn the drum? Has the tester hot rodded this thing at all? Does anyone get seriously injured during the filming of this video? All these questions will be answered below by pressing play. If this doesn’t make you smile, even a little bit than you are a cold, cold person!

Just the thought of putting a kids toy on a dyno is funny as hell, but “strapping it down”, adding the cooling fan so it doesn’t overheat and the black gloves worn by the ‘tuner’ are over the top cool! I seem to remember seeing a video somewhere of one of these toy cars juiced up to go a lot faster and maybe this one will start the “Barbie Car Dyno Wars?”

i’m thinking that an old inner tube wrapped tight around the drive wheels ,so they get some bite, along with a little weight over the axle would see the numbers skyrocket to maybe half a horsepower!!—clearly,i have way too much free time on my hands………
