Old military deuce and a half trucks rule all. Sure they’re big and slow and ride like Fred Flintstone’s car, but the word unstoppable keeps coming to mind when we think of them as well. We’ve seen stories about guys taking them wheeling to places like Moab and other heavy duty spots, but we’ve never seen one like this before.

Riding on massive 53-inch tires on custom rims, packing huge Rockwell axles stuffed with 6.17 gears, a Rockwell air-shifter transfer case, and only 33,000 original miles, this monster is ready for the end of days.

In the photo that runs with the ad, the owner has the top down, but there is a soft top that can be erected to protect occupants from flying meteors, collapsing bridges, or any other catastrophic event that you’ll be cruising through.

This truck was built by AMC in 1972 and is powered by a Hercules 465 “Multi-fuel” Turbo Diesel. The multi-fuel part is interesting because this engine is capable of converting virtually any flammable liquid into fuel. The seller claims to have run the truck on (and we quote), “used motor oil, used trans fluid, used gear oil, old bio-diesel, gas, or diesel”. How about we try ’em all at once?

The truck is street legal and the owner says that it runs and drives “beyond great”. His definition of that may not jive with yours, but it’s a runner and that’s all good to us!
